Chart of the Day: AI and Compatible Jobs

Today’s Chart of the Day is from a study by Cornell University (arXiv.org) published in July 2025, called “Working with AI: Measuring the Occupational Implications of Generative AI” and contains two charts.
The first chart ranks the top 40 occupations with which AI is most compatible, such as interpreters, historians, writers, and customer service.
The second chart ranks the bottom 40 occupations with the lowest AI compatibility, such as phlebotomist, nursing assistants, painters, surgeons, and tire changers.
Does your occupation fall into one of these categories? It might be helpful and interesting to share these lists with the younger generation as they consider opportunities in their future career choice.
