Today’s Chart of the Day was shared by my colleague Christine Davis, Director of Commercial Banking Services at Crews Bank & Trust. The chart from WalletHub.com shows the top cities to start a new business in the United States in 2024. Fort Myers ranked an impressive 3rd, with other cities in Florida taking seven of the top 20 spots out of a total of 1,300 cities. Sarasota came in 17th place and South Bradenton 20th. Utah had an noteworthy eight cities in the top 20. The survey uses 18 metrics ranging from growth rate, investor access, and labor costs. Growth can be tough, but I’d rather live in a city near the top of the list than the bottom.
