Today’s Chart of the Day from First Trust shows the top inflows and outflows of high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) who have $1,000,000 or more in investable assets. You notice the United Arab Emirates is at the top of the inflow list, followed shortly by the US, then Singapore. Of note on the outflow list, five of the top seven are BRICS Countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), which are all working together to create a new currency to replace the US Dollar as the world’s reserve currency. However, the rest of the world may not be quick to adopt a currency of countries who are losing their most productive citizens.
