Today’s Chart of the Day shows the percentage of people who have reached the age of 100. With medical advancements, the number went up 12-fold in 70 years, from 2 to 25 per 1,000 from 1950 to 2020. The number continues to grow at an accelerated rate and is up 66% in the last 10 years alone. It will be interesting to see what the figures look like 70 years from now.
