Crews Bank & Trust Collecting for Local Food Pantries

News Release Assets Southwest Fla., October 3, 2025 - Once again, customers and residents in the Englewood, Port Charlotte, North Port, Punta Gorda, Venice and Sarasota areas are encouraged to bring nonperishable food and personal care items to help fill the donation box in the lobby at any of the following Crews Bank & Trust locations through October 31.

- Cape Haze branch, 8725 Placida Road #10, Placida

- Gulf Cove branch, 12651 S. McCall Road, Port Charlotte

- Boca Grande branch, 301 Park Avenue, Boca Grande

- Murdock branch, 1100 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte

- Peachland branch, 24163 Peachland Blvd., Port Charlotte

- Parkside branch, 3002 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte

- Punta Gorda branch, 2331 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda

- North Port branch, 4300 Aidan Lane, North Port

- Venice branch, 207 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice

- Sarasota branch, 15 S. Palm Ave., Sarasota

Needed items include oatmeal, boxed cereal, fruit cups, instant potatoes, tomato sauce, canned soups, ramen noodles, pancake mix, peanut butter, jelly, canned goods, toiletries, dish detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper and paper towels. Complete lists are available at participating bank locations.

Donations collected in the Englewood area will be distributed to those in need through St. David's Jubilee Center, while donations in the Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda area will go to the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry in Punta Gorda. The Venice and Sarasota branches are coordinating donations with local Cub Scouts Packs 77 and 895.

St. David's Jubilee Center's mission is to empower the poor and oppressed by providing direct services, including food and clothing, to Englewood-area residents of both Charlotte and Sarasota Counties.

St. Vincent de Paul is dedicated to serving the poor, regardless of religious affiliation, providing food, clothing, home furnishings and financial assistance to needy individuals and families in Charlotte County.

Cub Scouts is part of the worldwide Scouting movement and aims to promote character development, citizenship training, personal fitness and leadership.

The lobby hours at the participating branches are:

- The Gulf Cove lobby is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

- The Cape Haze lobby is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

- The Boca Grande office opens at 8 a.m. every day and closes at 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

- The Murdock, Peachland, Parkside, Punta Gorda and North Port lobbies are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to       6 p.m. Friday.

- The Venice lobby is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and at 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday

- The Sarasota lobby is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
