WAUCHULA, Fla., July 29, 2026 — Crews Bank & Trust is pleased to announce that Patrick Ahern has joined the Bank as Senior Vice President, City Executive, Tampa, where he will lead the establishment and growth of the Bank’s presence in Central and Southwest Florida. The Bank plans to open a new Tampa-area branch in early 2027, pending approval from the Florida Office of Financial Regulation and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
Ahern reports to M.W. “Larry” McLaren IV, Chief Banking Officer, and will play a key role in advancing the Bank’s strategic expansion across Florida. “Patrick’s deep commercial banking expertise, proven leadership and strong community involvement make him the ideal person to lead our efforts in Tampa,” said McLaren. “As we continue expanding our footprint across Florida, Patrick’s experience is ideally suited to fit the opportunities that are present in the Tampa area. His relationship-driven lending and depository solutions personalized to the client reflect who we are as a bank: Building relationships that span generations. Patrick will be a great extension for the Bank into this new market.”

In his new role, Ahern will focus on developing a strong local presence for Crews Bank & Trust, expanding commercial banking relationships and recruiting top banking talent to support the Bank’s growth in the Tampa market.
“I’m honored to join Crews Bank & Trust as City Executive for the Tampa market and help bring our relationship-first approach to one of Florida’s most dynamic markets,” said Ahern. “Banking is at its best when it strengthens businesses, families and communities for the long term, and I’m excited to build a team in the Tampa Bay area that delivers thoughtful commercial, business, wealth and trust solutions with the service and accountability our clients deserve.”
Ahern’s career has been defined by leadership, business development and a deep commitment to helping organizations succeed. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Banking from Strayer University and has completed advanced training in credit, corporate finance, lending and underwriting.

He is also a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay’s Class of 2024, reflecting his commitment to civic engagement and economic development throughout the region.
Outside of the office, Ahern is a health and wellness enthusiast who enjoys traveling, tennis, pickleball and spending time in the mountains of North Carolina.
