OPENING OUR DOORS FOR BUSINESS
Wauchula State Bank opens for business on April 24, 1929.
1932
GENERATIONAL HERITAGE
While working for a Panama City bank, J.W. Crews, Sr. acquires controlling interest of Wauchula State Bank on May 25, 1932.
1973
BRANCHING INTO DESOTO COUNTY
Crews expands into DeSoto County; First State Bank of Arcadia is established.
1975
SECOND GENERATION
J.W. “Bill” Crews, Jr. named President.
1984
THIRD GENERATION
J.W. “Jim” Crews, III joins the management team as a third-generation family member.
1987
BRANCHING INTO CHARLOTTE COUNTY
Crews expands into Charlotte County; Charlotte State Bank is established.

1988
ENGLEWOOD BANK ESTABLISHED
Englewood Bank is established by local investors.
2004
OUR FAMILY OF BANKS
Crews purchases controlling interest in Englewood Bank, making Crews Banking Corporation a four-bank holding company.
2010
FOURTH GENERATION
J.W. “Jake” Crews, IV becomes fourth-generation family member to join the management team and serves as CEO today.
2019
CREWS BANK & TRUST – A LIFETIME OF TRUST
First State Bank of Arcadia becomes Crews Bank & Trust.

2023
OUR FAMILY OF BANKS UNIFY
Wauchula State Bank, Crews Bank & Trust, Charlotte State Bank & Trust, and Englewood Bank & Trust unify under the Crews Bank & Trust name in the fall of 2023.
