Today’s Chart of the Day from the Wall Street Journal shows that you aren’t imagining that beef prices have gone up. Beef prices have increased significantly versus chicken and pork since the pandemic. There are many reasons listed in the article; however, the root cause is the lingering pandemic supply chain issues. It takes two years to get cattle to market weight.
