Today’s Chart of the Day is from Wolfstreet.com with data provided by WRH Research showing that the RTO (Return to the Office) trend has stalled since 2022 and now sits at a stable 30% of all work being done from home.
 
Working from home was once rare at nearly 0% in 1960. Over time, the trend gradually increased to 5% at the start of the chart in 2003, until the COVID pandemic in 2020, where it reached as high as 62%.
 
 If 30% holds, it will be a monumental shift for our society, affecting downtown areas, transportation, construction (of less commercial offices and more home offices,) employment mobility, and the work/life balance.
