Today’s Chart of the Day from Global X, with data provided by Stockholm International Peace Research, shows that the United States spends almost 2x more on military expenses than the total combined spending of China, Russia, India, and Saudi Arabia. Moreover, the combined spending of all the countries on earth is $2.24 trillion (of which 40% is made up by the United States) and has nearly doubled over the last 20 years. The presenter did note we are the only army in the world that can not only quickly project force to anywhere in the world, but also have the resources to participate in two major conflicts at the same time.
