Today’s Chart of the Day is not finance related, but still fascinating. Shared by the NASA Earth Observatory, the Coriolis forces at the equator are zero. Coriolis causes objects to be deflected to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere. Since they are needed for hurricane formation, the equator is safe spot.
