Today’s Chart of the Day from BlackRock shows that only 34%, or roughly one out of three, stocks outperformed the index for the last 35 years. Even more incredible is that 39% of them lost money. This reinforces the saying, “It’s not that so few managers can beat the market, it's that so few stocks beat the market.”
