Today’s Chart of the Day, from Barron’s with data from Bloomberg, shows what percentage of a car is assembled in the US by manufacturer and the number of major US plants each company owns.
Predictably, Ford, with 80% of each car assembled in the US, topped the list. but I found it surprising that Honda, which many consider a “foreign" car company, ranked second at 65%.
With 11 plants, General Motors has the most manufacturing facilities in the US.
