Today’s Chart of the Day, shared by Charlie Bilello, highlights year‑end price targets for the S&P 500 as forecasted by major Wall Street banks.
All projections anticipate positive returns, with estimates ranging from 4% to 18%, and an average target of 11%. So far this year, market performance has been driven largely by smaller sectors and value stocks.
With such a wide margin in expectations, the market’s path for the remainder of the year remains uncertain. Even so, the current targets collectively signal a broadly optimistic outlook.
