Following the conclusion of the 2026 Winter Olympics, today’s Chart of the Day comes from Chartr, highlighting the expansion of the Winter Games events dating back to 1924.

 
The recent Milan–Cortina Olympics featured a record 116 events, driven largely by skiing, snowboarding, and skating. As the Games evolve, so does the competitive landscape, with new events bringing fresh talent onto the world stage. 

The Olympics offer an opportunity for us to step back from daily life and celebrate a global showcase of athletic excellence and national pride.
