Today’s Chart of the Day comes from Dr. Torsten Slok from Apollo and shows the number of real estate agents per 1,000 jobs.Florida leads the nation with 3.4; the lowest is 0.3 in Iowa.

The bonus chart, above, shows the number of home sales per agent, per year, dating back to 1999. It has fallen from a high of 55 in 2004 to only 20, falling recently from the average of 35 in 2021. The decline in number of homes sold is speculated to be due to homeowners wanting to keep their sub 4% mortgage rates.
