Today’s Chart of the Day from Statista breaks down how men (arrow) and women (cross) around the world spend their time on both paid and unpaid work each day.
When looking solely at paid labor, men tend to devote more minutes per day than women. However, when unpaid responsibilities—such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and caregiving—are considered, women ultimately devote more time to work overall.
It’s a reminder that not all work comes with a paycheck, but it certainly counts and deserves recognition.
